Teen CERT Class Offered June 2018

CERT 3 2014The SGC Health Department will be offering a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training for teens this summer. Registration is now open for a class that is forming to run June 18, 19, 20, 2018 in the lower level of the Ste Genevieve County Health Department. This class is designed for both boys and girls ages 11 to 18. Class hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 PM. CERT educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Training is free of charge. Participants will receive a free CERT backpack. Class size is limited and registration is required.
